Why I Won't Cheat
Cheating has always been something that teachers enforced as wrong. It's a bittersweet thing: either you get a good grade or you get in big trouble. It's hot or cold and not luke warm. Some people think about the consequence before they cheat while others believe they are immune to getting caught. However, that is not true. If one has that mind set, he or she will eventually make cheating a habit and therefore increase his or her chances of getting caught. Those who successfully cheat may feel bad when he or she sees that classmate, who gave it his or her all and didn't seem to get the grade he or she deserved especially since he or she didn't cheat. On the other hand, some successfully cheat and feel no type of remorse at all unfortunately. Personally, I choose not to cheat. I guess one could say I have ethical reasons. When I would read novels and write papers in high school, there were times when I would procrastinate. Yes, there are spark notes. Yes, I can get a paper on the internet. But, not once did I do those things. I would rather turn it in late than cheat and risk getting in trouble. I had a reputation to keep, and I know I would definitely beat myself up if I did in fact decide to cheat. I have my own morals and ethics, and cheating isn't ethical in my book.
